Sixties Teen Idol Lou Christie to Headline at the Feast of Little Italy

Christie to perform his ever popular, Lightning Strikes on Saturday, November 5th at 8:00 p.m.

(August 22, 2011) JUPITER, Florida – In its ninth year, the Feast of Little Italy returns to Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter on November 4, 5 and 6, this year. In addition to the over 140 vendors with mouth-watering Italian food and fabulous retail specialties – the Feast has become very well known for lining the streets of Abacoa with delighted festival goers to hear the musical line-up of performers. This year’s The Feast is bringing 60s National Teen Idol Lou Christie to Jupiter as the headliner for the Feast.

Lou Christie has enjoyed a multimillion dollar career as a songwriter, recording artist, and performer. Christie hails from Pittsburgh where he started in a two-track studio. His first million selling song, The GYPSY CRIED, transformed a local choirboy – Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco - into Lou Christie, national teen idol. During the 60’s Lou’s success took of with hits: Two Faces Have, Lightning Strikes, Rhapsody in the Rain and I’m Gonna Make You Mine. Christie’s music is still delighting his fans today and his most famous tracks can be found on the greatest hits and other collections on Varese Sarande and Rhino Records.

There will be live entertainment all hours of the Feast featuring not only Teen Idol Lou Christie, but additional performers to include: Tre Bella and their show of traditional favorites; “The Pavarotti of Doo Wop” Tommy Mara will wow the audience with his amazing voice; The Mystics will be on stage with 2 original members still performing their hits “Hushabye”, “Don’t take the stars” and “Darling I know you”. Over the three day Festival the Bank Atlantic Main Stage will be filled with amazing performances from all ages including the COPA / Italian Dance – Youth Touring Group. Other crowd pleasers like the Sorrento Cheese Building for Charity Contest, Costello’s Lasagna Eating Contest and DiSalvo’s Meatball Eating Contest will all be back with their defending champions! You won’t want to miss these wacky fun-filled events!
